Loison Easter Cake Colomba Zabaione Cream
A traditional Italian Easter cake, Colomba is the spring time equivalent of Panettone or Pandoro. The dough for the colomba is Italian Easter cake from The Gourmet Shop made in a similar manner to Panettone, with flour, eggs, sugar, natural yeast and butter. The dough is filled with Zabaione cream and finally is topped with pearl sugar and almonds before being baked. Beautifully packaged, the Colomba makes a great host or hostess gift.
